The Finger Lakes Zero Waste Coalition

Our group was formed in November of 2008 to organize community opposition to the waste gasification pilot project proposed by Casella Waste Systems for the Ontario County Landfill. Our members include professionals, business owners, farmers, scientists, parents, retirees and activists. We live in four counties (Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties) and in communities from Canandaigua to Seneca Falls, and south to Watkins Glen and Naples.

A Citizen’s Group

We meet the first and third Monday of every month at

6:30 pm at the Presbyterian Church in Geneva, New York. The Church fronts on Park Place next to Pulteney Park, just off South Main Street. Parking is behind the Church off Washington Street. Go to the closest double door to the parking lot, go right and up a flight of stairs to Room 25. If the meeting room has been changed, there will be a sign on the glass door. Click here for a map to the Church.
